Bale Grist Mill State Park

Learn about the history of this water-powered grist mill, one of the few still in operation. This historic site was the hub where settlers gathered to have their grain ground into flour. Milling demonstrations and historic tours are offered on weekends, and visitors can hike the moderate Bale Grist Mill History Trail, a 2.3-mile loop with beautiful wild flowers and birding that’s accessible year-round.
